These Terms and Conditions govern your use of www.thesaltysol.com and any travel services arranged by Heather Salter, doing business as The Salty Sol, an Independent Agency in the Avoya Travel Network. By accessing this website or purchasing travel services through The Salty Sol or Avoya Travel, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use this site or our services.
1. Travel Insurance
Avoya Travel and The Salty Sol strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance within 14 days of your initial deposit. Travel protection through Allianz Global Assistance is a combination of travel insurance and 24-hour emergency assistance services designed to protect you financially, medically, and more, no matter where you travel in the world.
If you have elected not to purchase travel insurance, we strongly urge you to reconsider. Please review the cancellation policy of your airline, cruise line, hotel, or tour company with The Salty Sol before making that decision.

Best Practices When Purchasing Travel Insurance
• Enter your departure date as the date you leave home and your return date as the date you arrive back home, to ensure full-trip coverage.
• Enter the total trip cost to cover all components, including cruise, flights, hotels, and any independently booked travel.
• Enter your exact date of birth rather than your age to ensure accurate pricing and correct coverage.
• Travelers residing in different states will require separate insurance policies.

2. Travel Advisories
Prior to booking, Avoya Travel and The Salty Sol strongly recommend reviewing travel advisories issued by both the U.S. State Department and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control. These sources provide up-to-date information on safety conditions, health hazards, visa requirements, and other important factors that may affect your trip.

3. Pricing Terms and Conditions
Due to the nature of limited inventory, pricing and availability are subject to change without notice. Your exact price depends on selected departure date, residency, past passenger status, ship or property, cabin category, class of airfare available, and other factors. All offers and upgrades are for selected dates, sailings, and cabin categories only, are subject to availability, and are capacity-controlled. Additional restrictions may apply. All information is subject to change without notice.
By purchasing travel products through The Salty Sol or Avoya Travel, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions of the travel supplier, which can be found on their website, as well as to Avoya Travel's terms and conditions at avoyatravel.com.

Quoted Prices
Unless otherwise stated, all prices are per person, based on double occupancy, for specific stateroom or room categories, and are subject to availability at the time of booking on selected departure dates. Airfare, transfers, port charges, and government fees are additional unless otherwise specified. Rates are subject to change. Offers are capacity-controlled and may be withdrawn at any time without notice. Some restrictions and blackout periods may apply.
Avoya Travel and The Salty Sol are not responsible for errors of omission or information that may occur as a result of the transfer of information from selected third parties, technical errors, or human error. Unless instructed otherwise, final payment will be charged to the credit card on file at the time final payment is due.
4. Proof of Citizenship and Travel Documentation
Proof of citizenship is required for all U.S. passengers leaving the United States. It is the sole responsibility of all travelers to have proper travel documents in their possession, including but not limited to:
• Valid passports (valid for at least six months after the travel end date)
• Certified or original birth certificates plus a matching government-issued photo ID (REAL ID compliant)
• Green cards and/or visas for your destination(s) and for re-entry into the United States
• If traveling with children, proper authorization documentation
The names and dates of birth on your reservations must appear exactly as they do on your government-issued identification. U.S. citizens can find additional information at https://travel.state.gov. Non-U.S. citizens must contact the consulates of the countries being visited.
REAL ID
As of May 7, 2025, U.S. travelers must be REAL ID compliant to board domestic flights and access certain federal facilities. For more information, visit: https://www.dhs.gov/real-id
Travel Visas
We recommend verifying visa requirements for your destination through CIBTvisas at https://www.cibtvisas.com/avoyatravel before travel.
Canada, Alaska, and New England Advisory
Under Canada's immigration law, if you have been convicted of or have committed a crime, you may be denied entry into Canada or denied boarding on a cruise that includes Canada on its itinerary. European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS)

United Kingdom Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA)

5. Booking Documentation
Your Travel Advisor will advise you whether you will receive paper documents or electronic documents (PDF or email). Most final travel documents will arrive approximately 2 to 3 weeks prior to departure. If you have not received them within that time, please contact The Salty Sol immediately.
When you receive your tickets and all documents, it is the sole responsibility of all passengers to review and verify all information. Notify your Travel Advisor immediately if any changes or corrections are required. No refunds will be issued if improper documentation results in denial of boarding or travel.
Passengers are subject to all cruise line, airline, and other travel company policies. You are responsible for supplying all necessary information to comply with TSA Secure Flight rules and all applicable regulations. Avoya Travel and The Salty Sol are not responsible for errors or mistakes when booking and reserving your travel. Please verify all information upon receipt.
Cruise Passengers: Embarkation times vary by cruise line. Most cruise lines permit boarding up to 3 hours before sailing. Passengers must be onboard no later than one hour before the scheduled sailing time.
6. Force Majeure
Avoya Travel and The Salty Sol shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing their obligations where such failure or delay results from any cause beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to:
• Acts of God, including earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, wildfires, or other natural disasters
• Pandemics, epidemics, or public health emergencies declared by a governmental authority
• Acts of war, terrorism, civil unrest, riots, or insurrection
• Government actions, travel bans, border closures, quarantine orders, or other regulatory restrictions
• Labor disputes, strikes, or work stoppages affecting travel suppliers
• Infrastructure failures, including power outages or internet disruptions
• Any other event outside the reasonable control of Avoya Travel or The Salty Sol
In the event of a force majeure situation, Avoya Travel and The Salty Sol will make every reasonable effort to assist clients in rebooking, securing future travel credits, or pursuing refunds where available from travel suppliers. However, Avoya Travel and The Salty Sol are not responsible for and shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages, or expenses incurred by clients as a result of force majeure events.
Clients are strongly encouraged to purchase comprehensive travel insurance, including cancel-for-any-reason coverage where available, to protect their travel investment against force majeure events and other unforeseen circumstances.
7. Travel Subject to Change
All travel is subject to availability, itinerary changes, work stoppages, schedule changes, or any other travel change beyond the control of Avoya Travel or The Salty Sol. Please reconfirm all airline flights 24 hours prior to departure, as the airline industry may change flights on a daily basis.
Avoya Travel and The Salty Sol have no control over changes, delays, or cancellations of flights, cars, hotels, cruises, or other travel services and are not responsible for such occurrences. Avoya Travel and The Salty Sol act solely as sales agents for travel suppliers and are not liable for the actions or inactions of such suppliers.
8. Flights
We recommend planning and booking flights as soon as possible. Cruise lines require guests to be checked in and onboard no later than two hours prior to the scheduled sailing time. Guests arriving late will not be permitted to sail.
Flight Best Practices
• Book a flight that arrives more than six hours prior to the scheduled cruise departure time.
• It is strongly advised that you arrive one day prior to the scheduled cruise departure date.
• Book domestic connections with a minimum of one hour between flights.
• Book international connections with a minimum of two hours between flights.
• Arrive at the airport more than two hours prior to your flight's scheduled departure.
• Arrive at the cruise terminal more than four hours prior to the scheduled sailing time.
• Book a return flight that departs more than six hours after the scheduled cruise arrival time.
Airfare Restrictions
The following restrictions are likely to apply to your airfare:
• Non-changeable and non-refundable tickets
• Baggage fees may apply
• No pre-assigned seats, or pre-assigned seat fees
Passenger names must match passports exactly. All exchanges and cancellations must be completed prior to the original scheduled flight date. Fees and penalties apply. Tickets may be non-refundable and non-changeable. See the airline's website to verify mileage and baggage allowance policies.
9. Supplemental Charges
Travel suppliers reserve the right to impose supplemental charges relating to unanticipated occurrences, including but not limited to increases in the price of fuel. Such supplemental charges may apply to both existing and new bookings, regardless of whether such bookings have been paid in full.
The trip you are purchasing may be subject to supplemental price increases imposed after the date of purchase due to additional costs imposed by a supplier or government. By purchasing travel through The Salty Sol or Avoya Travel, you consent to any post-purchase price increases and authorize the applicable charges to be applied to your payment method on file.
Avoya Travel and The Salty Sol reserve the right to assess a cancellation fee in addition to any fees imposed by the tour operator or cruise line. For your security, Avoya Travel and The Salty Sol do not accept check or cash payments. All payments must be made by credit card or wire transfer directly to the cruise or vacation supplier.
10. Gratuities and Add-Ons
The automatic service gratuity is applied per person, per day for guests in all accommodations and is added to each guest's onboard account on a daily basis. Pre-paid gratuities may be added to a reservation at any time outside of seven days of the sail date.
We recommend booking optional add-ons as soon as possible, including shore excursions, beverage packages, dining packages, internet packages, dining reservations, and entertainment or recreation reservations.
11. Limitation of Liability and Disclaimer
Avoya Travel, The Salty Sol, and Heather Salter act as sales agents for airlines, hotels, car rental companies, tour operators, cruise lines, and other travel service providers (collectively, Suppliers). Avoya Travel, The Salty Sol, and Heather Salter are not responsible for the acts or omissions of Suppliers or their failure to provide services or adhere to their own schedules.
Avoya Travel, The Salty Sol, and Heather Salter assume no responsibility and shall not be liable for any refund, personal injury, property damage, or other loss, accident, delay, inconvenience, or irregularity caused by: (1) any defaults, wrongful or negligent acts, or omissions of Suppliers; (2) any defect in or failure of any vehicle, craft, equipment, or instrumentality owned or operated by Suppliers; (3) any wrongful or negligent acts or omissions on the part of any other party not under their control; or (4) any Supplier price drop after your travel arrangements have been confirmed, paid in full, or ticketed.
Avoya Travel and The Salty Sol have no special knowledge regarding the financial condition of Suppliers, unsafe conditions, health hazards, weather hazards, or climate extremes at travel destinations. You assume full and complete responsibility for checking and verifying all passport, visa, vaccination, or other entry requirements of your destination(s), and all conditions regarding health, safety, security, political stability, and labor or civil unrest.

Avoya Travel, The Salty Sol, Heather Salter, and their respective suppliers are not liable for any direct, indirect, punitive, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in any way connected with the use of this website or any travel services purchased through it, whether based on contract, tort, strict liability, or otherwise.

All content on www.thesaltysol.com, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, and overall design, is the property of The Salty Sol, Heather Salter, or Avoya Travel, and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content on this site without prior written permission.

14. Cancellation Policy
It is the sole responsibility of the passengers named on a reservation to review and verify the cancellation policy published on the supplier's website (cruise line, tour operator, airline, hotel). Avoya Travel and The Salty Sol will provide cancellation policy information upon request but are not liable for any cancellation fees imposed by suppliers.
15. Indemnification
You agree to defend and indemnify Avoya Travel, The Salty Sol, Heather Salter, and their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiary companies, suppliers, officers, directors, shareholders, employees, representatives, independent contractors, and agents from and against any claims, causes of action, demands, losses, damages, fines, penalties, or other costs or expenses of any kind, including reasonable legal and accounting fees, brought by you or by third parties as a result of: (a) your breach of these Terms and Conditions; (b) your violation of any law or the rights of a third party; or (c) your use of this website.
16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to its conflict of law provisions, consistent with Avoya Travel's principal place of business. Any civil action or legal proceeding arising out of or relating to this website or dealings with Avoya Travel shall be brought in the courts of record of the State of Florida in Palm Beach County, or in the United States District Court, Southern District of Florida.
To the extent that any dispute or claim arises specifically and solely from the independent travel advisory services of The Salty Sol or Heather Salter operating in the State of Arizona, such claims may also be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Maricopa County, Arizona. Each party consents to the jurisdiction of the applicable court and waives any objection to the laying of venue of any civil action or legal proceeding in such court.
17. Modifications to These Terms
Avoya Travel and The Salty Sol reserve the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this page. Your continued use of this website or our services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
18. General Provisions
You warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and possess the legal authority to enter into this agreement and to use this website in accordance with all terms and conditions herein. You agree to be financially responsible for all use of this website and all services booked through The Salty Sol or Avoya Travel.
If any part of this agreement is determined to be invalid or unenforceable pursuant to applicable law, the invalid or unenforceable provision will be deemed superseded by a valid, enforceable provision that most closely matches the intent of the original provision, and the remainder of this agreement will continue in effect.
This agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and Avoya Travel / The Salty Sol with respect to this website and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals, whether electronic, oral, or written.
